If you need groceries today, Christmas Day, your only options are convenience stores.
All of these stores are closed today – Aldi, BJ’s, Costco, Giant, Karns, Sam’s Club, Save A Lot, Sharp Shopper, Walmart, Wegmans and Weis.
Stores such as Turkey Hill, Sheetz, Rutter’s and Wawa, however, will be open.
Some of those stores also offer free coffee on Christmas and mouthwatering other holiday goodies.
If you really don’t like grandma’s green bean casserole, you could eat at a convenience store before you get there – or after.
Wawa’s menu includes, cheesesteak and meatball hoagies, gingerbread and eggnog lattes and cappuccino, Frozen cappuccino cream smoothie, peppermint mocha latte, hot chocolate, iced latte or frozen cappuccino. Limited Edition Winter Reserve coffees.
Rutter’s serves a variety of hot food from burgers and pizza to seafood, sandwiches and sliders, tacos, soup, salad and yummy desserts. Rutter’s also has milkshakes – caramel, chocolate hazelnut, mint chocolate and white chocolate raspberry. Many locations also have a “Beer Cave” and wine racks.
Sheetz, of course, offers the “made-to-order” food along with the grab and go and bakery goodies from burgers and fries, hoagies, breakfast sandwiches, bratz and sausage, tacos, pizza, wraps, potato skinz, mac and cheese and soft pretzels.
If you need a gift while headed to meet the fam for dinner, you likely can find something – gift cards, craft beer and local wines.
